Founder & Group Chairman, Krishna Group

Mr. Ashok Kapur founded the Krishna Group in 1994, starting with the manufacturing of seating systems for the iconic Maruti 800 as their first product. Since then the group has grown into a multi-product, multi-location automotive components conglomerate.

KML (Krishna Maruti Limited) is the Flagship Company of Krishna Group. It is the only seating company in the world & the youngest company in the world to have won the coveted Deming prize in 2006. Today, KML supplies Seating Systems, Door Trims, Automotive Mirrors, CNG kits, Automotive Textile & Tooling to customers such as Maruti Suzuki, Suzuki Motor Gujarat, Honda cars, Mahindra, Renault, Nissan, Toyota, MG Motors, Isuzu, SML Isuzu, Escorts Kubota.

SKH (the Metal Forming Division of Krishna Group) supplies Metal Fuel Tanks, Exhaust Systems, Chassis and Suspension Parts, Cabin Systems, Roof Headliners, Gear shifters, Axle housings, Sheet Metal Components & Welded assemblies to some of the most coveted OEMs such as Maruti Suzuki, Suzuki Motor Gujarat, Skoda Auto Volkswagen India, Tata Motors, Renault Nissan, FCA, Mahindra, MG Motors, Suzuki Motorcycle, Piaggio, Ashok Leyland, JCB, Caterpillar, Escorts Kubota, CNH, Manitou India, Euler Motors, Audi, Volkswagen, Skoda, Bentley, Porsche, Mercedes Benz, MAN, SEAT, John Deere, Kohler, Ducati.

Shloka Enterprises (Shloka Group) Division of Krishna Group – The group was carved out of The Krishna Group in the year 2023 with a prime focus on auto, non-auto and technology-driven manufacturing. The group currently deals in CNG Kits, Automotive Accessories, Complete Integrated Cabins for Commercial & Off-Road Vehicles, CNG Valves, Artificial Leather and supplies to some of the big OEMs such as Maruti Suzuki, Toyota, Mahindra & Mahindra, Tata, Hyundai and BEML – Schedule A Company under Ministry of Defence. With the growth of the aviation industry in India and overseas, the group has partnered with a leading European Pilot training school from the Czech Republic.

Mr. Ashok Kapur is an architect by education and has rich & diversified experience in the industry. He is a visionary leader & a dynamic entrepreneur in the automotive domain. His guiding principles are Happiness & Positivity, Discipline, Time Management, Passion & Integrity. He believes that “Customer is God”.

Mr. Ashok Kapur is also the President of Maruti Suzuki Suppliers Association, is actively involved in promoting TQM & other best practices in the automotive industry.

Mrs. Arti Kapur & Mr. Ashok Kapur believe in giving back to the society & passionately support community development initiatives. They have established Sat Krishna Charitable Trust which is the social arm of the Krishna Group for implementation of various CSR activities.

Mr. Ashok Kapur & Mrs. Arti Kapur have a son & two daughters.

Co-Founder Shloka Enterprises (Shloka Group)

Kunal Malhotra Co-Founded the Shloka Enterprises (Shloka Group) in the year 2023 along with his wife Shruti Kapur Malhotra with a focus on new-age technologies for Auto and Electronic component manufacturing. The group has vested interests in Li-ion Recycling, further advancing in ICE vehicles, Advanced sensors, Displays, EV 2 W applications CCTV camera applications and more with an aim of Make in India for local and export markets. Shloka carved out of the existing Krishna Group has 7 entities under their umbrella within a year of its existence.

The Group operates in the Clean Energy Space & is the largest manufacturer of CNG components in India, and has further plans for expansion in the alternate fuel sector with localisation of CNG Valves for the automotive industry.

With diversification as one of the Group’s moto, the group successfully ventured into the Defence Sector with supplying Localised Integrated Cabins.

The group partnered with a leading European Pilot training school from Czech Republic to cater to the growth in the aviation sector in India and overseas.

Kunal Malhotra was the architect who led to the breakthrough with Toyota Group leading to a joint venture with Kyowa Leather Cloth Company, one of the largest manufacturers of Artificial Leather in the world for Auto and Non-Auto application & formation of a new JV entity known as Krishna Kyowa Pvt. Ltd. This is Krishna Group’s first Joint Venture with a Toyota Group Company.

He is a Director and Board Member of Krishna Penstone Automotive Private Limited, Mirror Division of the Krishna Group. The division has a strong business position as a major supplier of outside rear-view mirrors (ORVMs) and inside rear-view mirrors (IRVMs) to Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) and Honda Cars India Limited (Honda)

The group supplies to major Auto OEMs like Maruti Suzuki, Toyota, Mahindra & Mahindra, Tata Motors, Hyundai and to BEML – Schedule A Company under the Ministry of Defence

Kunal’s strategic vision to collaborate with International OEMs, establishing joint ventures and technical collaborations with global technology leaders and targeting the global market will be a game changer for the group.

Kunal Malhotra believes that we are at a pivotal moment, where innovation, sustainability, our people, and strategic leadership will shape the next phase of our success.

Before Krishna Group, he worked in FMCG distribution in Kuwait and handled over 4000 SKUs and 60 brands. He also worked in the hospitality sector wherein he was instrumental in opening restaurants and spearheaded the entertainment segment of his family-owned business of 5-star hotels in New Delhi and Tajakistan. He also opened the largest 3S facility in the NCR region in India for Honda Motors.

Shruti Kapur Malhotra Co- founded Shloka Enterprises (Shloka Group) in the year 2023 along with her Husband Kunal Malhotra

Shruti an avid reader and an art enthusiast founded “Platform” A multi-disciplinary creative arts and culture magazine featuring fresh, visually stunning narratives on literature, art, design, fashion, photography that celebrates the arts through various genres.

Leading one of the top suppliers of Automotive Accessories to India’s biggest OEMs in India like Maruti Suzuki, Toyota, Hyundai the business is growing with her innovative approach and focus on the R&D and NPD.

Shruti’s passion is to create a passionate, and a happy workforce based on her own strong belief that people are the most important & critical factor contributing to the growth, success and sustainability of an organization.

Her passion and deep involvement in all the current and new businesses and her Vibrant Leadership with focus on Quality and the People, the group is moving to new heights and venturing into new business verticals.

Before founding the Platform Magazine, she worked at India Today for 2 years as a Content Writer.

Shruti Kapur Malhotra graduated with Honors from Jesus & Mary College in New Delhi & studied Film Production and Creative Writing at New York University. She pursued her PG in Creating Writing from Middlesex University, United Kingdom. She is the daughter of the promoter family of the Krishna Group.

Kunal Malhotra and Shruti Kapur Malhotra have two sons.

Director Shloka Enterprises (Shloka Group)

Arjun Malhotra, born and brought up in Kuwait, graduated in Entrepreneurship and Marketing from Johnson & Wales University, Rhode Island in the United States. He worked in Admirals Bank as a Loan Advisor after which he returned to India. On his return he worked in the Retail arm of the Automotive sector in his family-owned dealership, Ace Honda, Noida, as an Executive director, where he oversee all departments and manages all operations.

Arjun brings over a decade of extensive experience in the banking and auto sectors. His profound understanding of the auto industry enables him to spearhead the development of new automotive ventures for the group, significantly enhancing its market presence.

Working closely with Mr. Kunal Malhotra, he systematically identifying key opportunities for the group in the electronics manufacture and defense space.
